" steering wheel adjustment on class 8 trucks" on a freightliner?

I changed the steering gear on my truck and now the steering wheel is way off to the left. I don't see any way to adjust it, as the pitman arm and steering colume both have grooves in them for the crimping bolt to go in. Do I need to pull the steering wheel off in order to turn it?

Either you didn't have the steering wheel centered when you put it back on or the steering gear is different than the old one. If the steering gear didn't have a pitman arm on it when you bought it, it may have not been %26quot;centered%26quot; %26gt;

Sometimes when you change things on the steering line this can happen. Basically if the wheel functions correctly but just isn't centered when your wheels are straight you may just have to deal with it. But it function of the steering system is not working correctly you maybe have a different model part than what you need.
Yep... The easiest way to correct this is to make sure the truck is pointing straight ahead, then just remove the steering wheel and replace it in the position you want it to be.
