I reacently changed my tire because i bent my rim when i hit a curb and my wheel and tire were shaking. After changing my tire it doesn't shake but my steering wheel keeps shifting to the right side so i was wondering if i need an alignment what do you all think.
Why does my steering wheel keep shifting to the right side?
you changed the rim right? yes i think you need an alignment. I've had that happen before from hitting a pot hole and had to have an alignment to get everything straight.
Why does my steering wheel keep shifting to the right side?
yes,and possibly tie rod or drag link
at least an alignment, but you may have bent a steering or suspension component depending on how hard you hit the curb. id get it checked out, at least an alignment. if something is bent the alignment tech will tell you because it will be hard to align
take it into a garage and they will tell you what the problem is...my guess is the alignment is off but when you hit the curb there is a chance you damaged something more than the rim and tire
You do need an alignment but you may have bent a tie rod also in which case that would need to be replaced prior to the alignment
check tire pressure and it seems you need an alignment done.
after hitting a curb it slightly offset the wheel alignment which causes the car to go to one side.
Also have the wheel bearings checked.
check the air pressure in the tires they should be around 35 psi. i bet you need to adjust the tire pressure.
