Ok new question for 1991 bronco. Do you have to remove steering wheel to change ignition switch?
Yes, I had to in my '96 F-150, and my brother's '91 F-150. This is due to the steering wheel locking mechanism in the ignition switch.

look under the steering wheel and remove the plastic cover and look up right where the ignition would be and see if there is a brass pin there if so put the key in the on poss push the pin in and pull on the switch it should just pull out..
listen to clutch it is real easy to replace the tumbler.should take 5 mins good luck
No. The ignition switch is not up where the key switch is. All that is there is the tumbler with a rod attached to it running down the column to the ignition switch which bolts to the right side of the column with 2 screws. If you take out the two screws, twist the switch around 90 degrees, the rod will fall out of the top of the switch and you will just have to unplug the harness. Put the new one back in reverse order and you are in business. A simple half hour change.
