The air bags all have to function if the car has them from the factory for that model year.|||I am not sure about the Impreza but I have heard that disconnecting the battery can prevent the airbag light coming on. You may need to leave it disconnected for a while beforehand.|||I don%26#039;t think you can based on the ECU setup within that vehicle.
Just my 2 cents but you%26#039;ll live longer if you leave the airbag where it belongs and your insurance company can cancel any claims made on your policy if a safety item like the airbag is removed.
Check it out.|||Well you would have to put a resistor in the connector what was of the right value and this would keep the light from coming on...I don%26#039;t know exactly what the value is for that car...usually it%26#039;s 2-4ohms...I think...
