My cars' rim was hit so hard dat it bent. now i hav a donut on it n da steering wheel sways back and forth.

donut tire on there. the steering wheel sways back and forth. the mechanic said the damage was limited to juist the tire. but could there be something wrong with the axle, or perhaps the suspension. the mechanic says to just change the rim.

what type of car and is it front wheel drive? If so NEVER PUT THE DONUT TIRE ON THE FRONT OF A FWD CAR!!
It would seem you have steering and or suspension damage. And despite what the person before said ....you CAN use a donut spare on the front or the rear. They wouldn't allow them as a spare if you couldn't use them in any position.
If the rim is bent, change the rim. If you still have probs. then there's more damage.
Don't ever put a donut on the front it is dangerous. Steer linkage damage is there, take it to someone else.
